Winners of the Essex Business Excellence Awards announced

Media 10 Media 10 Ltd has won three awards at this year’s Essex Business Excellence Awards. The events and publishing company started with one person in the marketing team and now has a growing portfolio of 23 live events which attract over 1 million visitors every year.

Media 10 Ltd won the prestigious ‘Essex Business of the Year Award’, ‘Excellence in Marketing Award’ for large businesses, and the Chief Executive of the company won the ‘Outstanding Business Person Award’.

“We’ve got a great team and we run events and exhibitions from the heart. We’re in a position now to tell everyone that we are the number one company in Essex.

It was set up 13 years ago and we had nothing at all. Our furniture was garden furniture. Ten years later we organised the Queen’s Coronation Festival in Buckingham Palace.”

Highlighting the best in Essex commerce

The awards, organised by the Essex Chronicle Media Group, highlight the very best in Essex commerce. In the ‘Best Growing Business Award’ category Ultimotive impressed the judges with their fast track growth. Ultimotive is a leading global licensee in the automotive sector, servicing territories including Europe, Brazil the US and most recently expanding into Australia. Ultimotive represents renowned international brands such as Williams Car Care, Turtle Wax and MotoGP.

The ‘Best New Business Award’, won by iTek Sales and Repair, was sponsored and judged by Essex County Council’s Essex Innovation Programme who provided input and advice throughout the awards process. 

iTek Sales and Repair are industry leading specialists in sales & express repairs of smartphones, tablets & computers. The Essex Innovation Programme were particularly impressed with how the company has gone from strength to strength, repairing over 5000 devices in their first year, leading to them opening their second store in Essex.

About the Essex Business Excellence Awards

Cllr GadsbyThe awards were set up to highlight the very best in Essex commerce. There are nine categories in total and the prestigious competition rewards businesses, managers and staff who are at the top of their game.

Essex County Council (ECC) is one of the Awards Ambassadors. ECC are keen to support businesses and to recognise achievement and excellence. Councillor Ricki Gadsby, Deputy Cabinet Member for Creative Economy and Skills at Essex County Council, was guest speaker on the evening.
