Team from Anglia Ruskin business school reaches 3rd place in national final of University Challenge

Anglia Ruskin business school reaches 3rd place in national final of University ChallengeFour students from Anglia Ruskin’s University Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) have won 3rd place in the national final of the prestigious Universities Business Challenge.

The LAIBS team made a strong showing amongst the 10 teams in the final held at IBM’s London headquarters with all teams in the lead at various points throughout the day. Eventually the team from Essex were narrowly beaten by teams from University of Sheffield and University College London.

“Having been so close to reaching the final last year, I can say that this performance by the Chelmsford team was certainly no fluke and to achieve it against teams from such a large number of leading UK universities shows the quality of students that we have here.
It’s fantastic that the Entrepreneurial University of the Year is once again showing what it can do!”

Dr Robin Gowers, Senior Lecturer in Economics at Anglia Ruskin University

This is the latest development from the Business School which recently opened a £160,000 Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab on the Chelmsford Campus.
