Best New Business Award sponsored by the Essex Innovation Programme
Essex County Council (ECC) is committed to business growth and sees the business community as key to unlocking economic growth and opportunities for all in the county.
For the past two years, ECC has been an Ambassador sponsor of the awards and this year ECC’s Essex Innovation Programme is sponsoring the Best New Business category of the awards.
“Essex County Council is passionate about its business community and is doing all it can to help businesses grow in the county. It’s another demonstration that Essex Means Business.
As well as our support programmes, we are delighted to once again sponsor the Essex Business Excellence Awards which encourage and highlight the business excellence that goes on in the county.”
Cllr Kevin Bentley, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Essex County Council
The Essex Innovation Programme and new businesses
The Essex Innovation Programme (EIP) is just one of the ways in which Essex County Council assists the county’s businesses. The programme helps companies to develop and exploit their creative and innovative commercial development ideas working with businesses at all different stages using high quality, private sector business mentors and specialist partners to help start-ups, small businesses and established businesses.
One of the companies EIP has been working with is Ginger Nut Media. EIP worked with the company to review and improve its pitching approach and processes. Ginger Nut Media quickly saw results including increased turnover, the company expanding and the doubling of their staff head count. They were also named Virgin Trains Newcomer SME of the Year 2014.
“EIP helped us look at the business effectively and make proactive decisions which encouraged good solid growth. I would recommend it to anyone whom is serious about growing their business.”
Phil Warnock, Managing Director and Founder, Ginger Nut Media
